A BRIEF INTRODUCTION
The UK has been my home for over 20 years since I arrived in Manchester from Oslo to do an MA in Documentary Production at Salford University. I later moved to London but have kept strong connections with the north of England.
I’ve worked in broadcast television making a wide range of documentaries and factual TV programmes for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 – from producing a This World documentary to a fly-on-the-wall school swap series and working as a producer/ director for 4Thought.
More recent productions include films for the Open University, and a documentary film tracing the impact of the Uruguayan dictatorship in the 1980s on a family forced into exile – with a feature-length version for cinema release and another for TV broadcast.
To keep in touch with my Norwegian roots and language, I have also worked as a features journalist for publications in Norway over the years.
Across my career, I have been invited to share in other cultures, communities and perspectives. I am driven by a natural curiosity but also recognise what a privilege it is to be given access and trust – and I approach every project and person with respect and integrity. I have worked on projects big and small, strange and wonderful, from many corners of the world and walks of life and I continue to love the creative process of storytelling.
I am currently working on projects with longstanding clients as well as new collaborations. To get in touch, please email: elin@moefilms.com
